The Marshall Islands exploited a legal quirk throughout the 1990s: as a sovereign nation it could issue technically valid coinage, but with no domestic coin-using economy to speak of, the entire program was designed from the outset for the collector market. This piece was struck the year after the 25th anniversary of Presley's death went unobserved — 1994 passed quietly — and the 1995 date appears to have been chosen simply because the licensing and production schedule aligned then.

These were sold by direct mail in bulk lots. Circulated examples are essentially fictional.
