Part of a broader RCM series marketed toward recent immigrants and new citizens, this issue was released during a period when the Mint was aggressively expanding its collectible program into identity and cultural commemoration — a commercial pivot that accelerated sharply after 2010. The series title references Canada's citizenship oath, revised in 2021 under Bill C-8 to restore the word "Aboriginal" to its original wording.
