Reverse description A stylized coiled snake rendered in a Chinese decorative artistic style occupies the central circular field, its body depicted in flowing curves with textured scale detailing and crescent-shaped markings throughout. The central motif is framed by an inner ring of ornate scrolling floral and cloud arabesques in an East Asian aesthetic, itself surrounded by an outer border of Greek-key meander pattern. The date 2013 appears in stylized numerals at the base of the inner decorative ring.

Additional information

Tokelau has no independent mint authority and contracts all coin production through New Zealand, with most collector issues struck at the Perth Mint. The 2013 lunar series entry was produced for export sale only — Tokelau's actual economy runs on New Zealand dollars, and no issued face value here has ever functioned as working currency.
