Obverse description Right-facing crowned effigy of Queen Elizabeth II after the third portrait by Raphael David Maklouf, depicting the Queen wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara, drop earrings, and a necklace. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs along the left field and SOLOMON ISLANDS along the right, with the date 2007 positioned in the lower exergue. The engraver's initials RDM appear incuse on the truncation of the bust.

Reverse description Central field features a stylized colored depiction of a large boar facing left, rendered in dark red with swirling decorative line motifs on its body, accompanied by a smaller piglet to its right, both applied in polychrome color. Above the figures, milled cloud scrolls ornament the upper field. The Chinese character 豬 (pig) appears in relief below the central motif. The legend YEAR OF THE PIG arcs along the upper rim, and FIVE DOLLARS runs along the lower rim in raised Latin lettering.
