| Obverse description | The effigy of Queen Elizabeth II faces right in high relief, rendered in the fourth portrait by Ian Rank-Broadley whose initials IRB appear below the truncation. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs vertically to the right of the effigy, while the fineness mark Ag 999 appears to the lower left. The surrounding field and border are richly decorated with an intricately engraved pair of sinuous dragons rendered in a traditional Chinese artistic style, their scaled bodies, flowing manes, and clawed forms encircling the entire coin. The inscription NIUE ISLAND 2021 arcs along the upper rim, and FIVE DOLLARS is inscribed along the lower rim. |
