| Obverse description | The obverse features a bimetallic design with a natural wood centre inset into a polished silver ring. Centrally engraved into the wooden disc is the Public Seal of Niue, depicting a traditional Polynesian design within an ornate beaded circular border, with the legend 'PUBLIC SEAL OF NIUE' and 'ATUA NIUE TUKULAGI' arranged around the seal. The denomination '5 DOLLARS' appears in the upper field of the silver ring, flanked on each side by decorative cross-and-scroll ornaments in high relief.
