Additional information

Tina Maze's 2014–15 season was, statistically, the most dominant in alpine skiing history — she accumulated more World Cup points in a single season than any skier before her, male or female. This coin was issued the same year she retired from competitive racing, making it effectively a retirement tribute dressed as a commemorative.

Cook Islands has long issued bullion-weight silver pieces under licensing arrangements with foreign sports and entertainment properties, with little connection to the territory itself beyond the issuing authority.
