The image depicts two embracing figures draped in ornate golden robes decorated with geometric and floral motifs, kneeling upon a flower-covered precipice against a shimmering gold-leaf background. The composition faithfully reproduces the original Art Nouveau masterpiece in vivid polychrome color with iris gold finishing. The inscriptions GUSTAV KLIMT, THE KISS, and 1907–1908 appear in gilt lettering along the lower margin of the design. |
