| Beschrijving voorzijde | The obverse features a detailed skeletal depiction of a Stegosaurus in left profile, die-cut to the exact silhouette of the dinosaur, with the characteristic double row of dorsal plates rendered along the spine and the spiked thagomizer at the tail. The ribs, limb bones, and vertebral column are finely engraved in high relief against a brushed field. At center, an inset circular proof portrait depicts the right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II with the legend ELIZABETH II, SOLOMON ISLANDS, and 5 DOLLARS arching around the circumference, with the date 2022 below. A unique serial number 0001 appears at lower left, with the inscriptions 2 OZ and 999.9 Ag engraved below the central medallion. |

Solomon Islands has issued collector silver under its own authority since independence in 1978, but the numismatic program accelerated sharply in the 2010s through licensing agreements with European minting houses — this piece almost certainly produced by one of the major Austrian or Polish private mints on contract. The KM# sequence confirms it sits deep within a long run of themed issues with no particular connection to the islands themselves.
Stegosaurus is known exclusively from Late Jurassic deposits of the Morrison Formation in the western United States, described formally by Othniel Charles Marsh in 1877 during the height of the Bone Wars.
