Obverse description Right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara, rendered in the fourth definitive portrait by Ian Rank-Broadley. The bust is draped and truncated at the shoulder, occupying the central field of the rectangular flan. The legend 'COOK ISLANDS' and '5 DOLLARS' appear in two lines above the effigy, while the name 'ELIZABETH II' is inscribed in spaced capital letters below. The high-relief portrait displays finely detailed hair and jewellery workmanship characteristic of the Rank-Broadley series.

Reverse description Full-color icon-style depiction of Saint Helena (Equal-to-the-Apostles, Queen Helena), shown standing in frontal pose against a golden halo and yellow background. The saint is crowned with a jewelled imperial crown and robed in a richly ornamented red mantle over a green vestment, her garments adorned with gold star motifs. She holds a large Christian cross in both hands, rendered in the Byzantine iconographic tradition with precise polychrome color application. The date '2010' appears vertically along the lower left border, and the Cyrillic legend 'СВ.РАВНОАП. ЦАРИЦА ЕЛЕНА' (St. Equal-to-the-Apostles, Queen Helena) is inscribed in the lower margin of the field.
