| Obverse description | The complete National Arms of Barbados occupies the central field, comprising a shield bearing two sugar cane stalks and a pride-of-barbados tree, supported on the dexter by a dolphin and on the sinister by a pelican, with a helmet and mantling above and a crest of an arm holding two crossed sugar cane stalks. A scroll below bears the national motto in the legend PRIDE AND INDUSTRY. The country name BARBADOS arcs along the lower periphery, flanked by a beaded border, while the date numerals are divided left and right of the supporters, each accompanied by a small trident emblem. |
