| Obverse description | Right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, diademed and draped, as sculpted by Ian Rank-Broadley, whose initials IRB appear below the truncation. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs above the portrait, while FIVE DOLLARS curves along the lower field. The fineness mark Ag 999 and the mint mark mw appear to the right of the portrait. The broad outer border is adorned with incuse Egyptian hieroglyphic motifs and a meander-style decorative band, with NIUE ISLAND and the date 2021 inscribed along the upper rim. |
