| Beschrijving voorzijde | Diademed and draped right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II occupies the central field, encircled by an ornate Celtic-style geometric pattern. A second ring bears the twelve zodiac signs in raised relief, each paired with its corresponding Cyrillic elemental inscription (воздух — air, вода — water, огонь — fire, земля — earth), while the outermost band displays the names of all twelve zodiac signs in Latin script. Below the portrait appears the Tokelau national flag in a rectangular cartouche, flanked by the fineness mark Ag925, the Moscow Mint monogram ММД, and the denomination FIVE DOLLARS. The encircling legend reads ELIZABETH II – TOKELAU 2012. |

The Moscow Mint's production of Cook Islands collector coinage is a long-running commercial arrangement — the islands provide the legal issuing authority while Russian minting infrastructure handles fabrication. These zodiac pieces were issued as part of a twelve-coin series, each selectively gilded over sterling silver. Scorpio covers birthdays from late October through late November.
KM#153a distinguishes the gilded variant from the plain silver KM#153.
