| 正面描述 | Right-facing diademed and draped effigy of Queen Elizabeth II after the portrait by Ian Rank-Broadley, whose initials IRB appear below the truncation. The legend 'ELIZABETH II ~ TOKELAU 2012' curves along the upper periphery, flanked by tilde separators, while the denomination 'FIVE DOLLARS' is inscribed in the lower field. Below the portrait, a stylised Tokelauan traditional basket motif is depicted in the lower field. The entire design is framed by an ornate geometric border of traditional Pacific diamond and lattice patterns. |

Tokelau — three Pacific atolls with no indigenous coinage tradition and a total land area under 12 square kilometers — began issuing collector coins around 2010 under a New Zealand-administered numismatic program. These fractional gold pieces were produced primarily for the bullion and gift market rather than any circulation purpose, timed to capitalize on demand for sub-gram gold in the early 2010s.
