| 背面描述 | Central gilt figure of Saint Paul standing in full-length robes, holding a sword in his left hand and a scroll in his right, rendered in bold relief with selective gold plating. Behind the figure, a detailed architectural rendering of the facade and dome of Saint Peter's Basilica in Vatican City occupies the right portion of the field. The legend 'SAINT PAUL' appears at the top of the field, with 'VATICAN ART' inscribed vertically along the right border. A row of six blue Swarovski crystals is set into a decorative band along the lower portion of the reverse, above the date '2012' in the exergue. |

Cook Islands has issued commemorative silver pieces with embedded Swarovski crystals since the mid-2000s, a format pioneered largely by the Austrian Mint and quickly adopted by Pacific island jurisdictions whose coin programs exist almost entirely for the collector market. The legal tender status is nominal — no piece like this ever circulated.
Saint Paul's Cathedral in London survived the Blitz largely intact, a fact Londoners attributed at the time to something close to miracle. German incendiary raids on the night of 29–30 December 1940 destroyed much of the surrounding City, but the dome held.
