| Descrizione del rovescio | The reverse displays a bold full-colour reproduction of the South Rose Window of Notre Dame Cathedral, Paris, filling the entire square field of the coin. The composition features a large circular rose form with a central medallion, from which elaborate Gothic stone tracery radiates outward in a wheel-like pattern, subdividing into numerous cusped lancet and trefoil compartments. Each compartment is filled with a vibrant polychrome enamel scene depicting biblical figures, saints, and apostles in the manner of the 13th-century original stained glass. The four corners of the square flan are decorated with quatrefoil ornaments in matte silver relief, echoing the Gothic architectural vocabulary of the cathedral. |
