| Obverse description | Right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara, rendered in high relief with fine detail on the hair and diadem. The portrait is the fourth definitive effigy by engraver Ian Rank-Broadley, whose initials IRB appear beneath the truncation. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs along the left periphery, NIUE along the upper field, and FIVE DOLLARS along the right periphery. The date 2019 is inscribed in the lower field, and the entire surface carries an antiqued finish imparting a dark, aged patina. |
