Reverse description The silver center presents a right-facing youthful bust of Lady Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon, later Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother, rendered after her 1923 engagement portrait by engraver David Cornell. The subject is depicted with an elegant coiffure, a pearl necklace, and a low-cut gown, with a decorative laurel and floral spray ornament at the base of the portrait and the date 1923 inscribed in the exergue. The legend ENGAGEMENT PORTRAIT arcs within the silver field above the bust, enclosed by a beaded border. The gold-plated outer ring bears the inscription 1900 HM THE QUEEN MOTHER'S CENTENARY 2000 distributed around the ring, with 5 DOLLARS along the lower arc, flanked by small floral ornaments.
