Beschrijving voorzijde Right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II after the portrait by Susanna Blunt, depicting the monarch in mature bust with elaborately coiffed hair adorned with a diadem and wearing a pearl necklace. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs along the upper periphery, while the denomination 5 DOLLARS and the date 2013 are inscribed along the lower periphery. The field displays a fine radial brushed finish characteristic of Canadian bullion coinage of this series.

Aanvullende informatie

The Pronghorn is North America's fastest land animal and the sole surviving member of the Antilocapridae family — a lineage that once shared the continent with now-extinct predators fast enough to actually chase it. The 2013 release was part of the Royal Canadian Mint's Wildlife series, which ran from 2011 and drew consistent collector demand by pairing .9999 fine silver with rotating fauna subjects on a one-year strike basis.

Mintage for this issue was capped at 1,000,000 pieces, consistent with others in the series, though secondary market absorption was rapid enough that sealed Monster Boxes became the preferred collector unit almost immediately after release.
