| Obverse description | Right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, rendered after the fourth definitive portrait by Ian Rank-Broadley, wearing a tiara and pearl earring. The portrait is finely detailed with elaborately styled hair, occupying the central field. The circumferential legend reads ELIZABETH II SOLOMON ISLANDS 5 DOLLARS, arcing along the upper and right periphery. Below the truncation appear the engraver's initials IRB, the metal specification 2 oz Ag 999, and the date 2018. The antique finish imparts a darkened, aged aesthetic to the entire surface. |
