| 表面の説明 | The obverse bears the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II as portrayed at approximately 77 years of age, facing right in a bare-headed bust with a necklace and earrings, as engraved by Susan Taylor. The legend ELIZABETH II D•G•REGINA arcs around the upper field, affirming her title by the grace of God. The portrait is rendered in a refined, contemporary style befitting the late Elizabethan coinage series. |

The "Our Beloved Maple" release belongs to the Royal Canadian Mint's long-running effort to dominate the premium bullion-adjacent market with fractional silver pieces carrying collector premiums well above spot. The .9999 fineness — four nines — became the RCM's competitive signature after its introduction on the flagship Maple Leaf bullion series in 1998, distinguishing Canadian product from the .999 standard common elsewhere.
The maple as national symbol gained formal federal recognition only in 1996, when it was proclaimed Canada's official arboreal emblem.
