正面描述 Right-facing diademed and draped bust effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, as designed by Ian Rank-Broadley, occupying the central field of the rectangular flan. The legend 'ELIZABETH II' and 'COOK ISLANDS' is inscribed in two lines above the portrait, while the denomination '5 DOLLARS' appears in the lower field. The portrait displays fine detail in the rendering of the Queen's hair, tiara, and drapery.

附加信息

Nikolay Raevsky commanded the 7th Infantry Corps at Borodino in 1812, where his battery position on a central ridge became the focal point of some of the most brutal fighting of the entire engagement. A widely circulated — and almost certainly embellished — account claims he led a charge holding his two young sons by the hand when his troops faltered, a story that spread across Europe and made him one of the most romanticized figures of the Napoleonic Wars. Napoleon himself reportedly expressed admiration for the man after the battle.

Cook Islands issued numerous .999 silver commemoratives in this period under licensing arrangements, with Raevsky appearing as part of a broader Russian military heroes series minted ahead of the 1812 bicentennial.
