| 正面描述 | Right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara, after the portrait by Ian Rank-Broadley. The bust is set within a finely engine-turned inner field framed by a rope-style border. The legend ELIZABETH II · CAYMAN ISLANDS · 5 DOLLARS arcs around the upper periphery, with the date below the effigy in the lower exergue. |

| 背面描述 | A dynamic, highly detailed depiction of a blue marlin leaping from turbulent ocean waves, rendered in high relief against a burnished circular field. Diagonal engine-turned lines in the background field evoke radiating light. At the upper centre, a circular royal cypher medallion bears the crowned EIIR monogram in frosted relief on a dark ground. The lower legend spanning the periphery reads MARLIN · 1 OZ · 9999 GOLD, confirming the coin's bullion specification. |

The Cayman Islands has no central bank in the conventional sense — the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority, established in 1997, issues currency but operates under a fixed peg to the US dollar that has held at CI$1 to US$1.20 since 1974. Gold bullion issues like this one fall outside that peg arrangement entirely, priced and traded on spot markets rather than at face value.
