Obverse description The obverse features the youthful diademed effigy of Queen Elizabeth II in right-facing profile, designed by Patrick Brinley, with the Queen's hair elegantly swept upward and adorned with a tiara. The bare-shouldered bust is rendered in high relief against a broad, unadorned field. The legend ELIZABETH II curves along the left periphery, while CANADA 1975 appears along the right. A small Canadian maple leaf device is positioned at the bottom of the field below the bust, serving as a decorative separator between the two portions of the inscription.
