Tokelau has no mint of its own and no domestic coin-producing infrastructure — all its numismatic issues are struck under contract, predominantly by the New Zealand Mint. The "Magnum Opus" branding places this squarely in the collector bullion market, a space Tokelau has aggressively occupied since around 2011 when its issues began attracting international attention largely due to the .9999 fine silver specification, which was then less common among sovereign bullion coins.
