| 背面描述 | Frontal portrait of Jaroslav Lev of Rožmitál (1425–1482), the Bohemian nobleman and diplomat, depicted wearing a late-medieval visored helmet with hinged visor raised, rendered in bold high relief against a polished mirror field. A decorative chain collar with elaborate linked ornamental elements is visible at the neck and lower portrait area. The legend LEV Z ROŽMITÁLU arcs along the left and lower-left rim in raised Latin characters, while the dates 1425–1482 appear along the lower right rim, indicating the subject's lifespan. The design is attributed to medallist Martin Dašek and reflects a sculptural, medieval-effigy artistic style. |

Jaroslav Lev of Rožmitál was a Bohemian nobleman who undertook an extraordinary diplomatic journey across Western Europe from 1465 to 1467, ostensibly as a goodwill embassy on behalf of his brother-in-law, the Hussite king George of Poděbrady. The mission was partly a charm offensive — George needed Catholic allies at a moment when Pope Paul II was actively working to depose him. Rožmitál's party traveled through Germany, France, England, Spain, and Portugal, with several members keeping detailed travel journals that survive today as rare firsthand accounts of late-medieval European courts.
