Additional information

Ivan VI was emperor of Russia for just over a year before being deposed in 1741 at the age of two, imprisoned by Elizabeth I, and ultimately murdered in his cell at Shlisselburg Fortress in 1764 on the orders of Catherine the Great — having spent virtually his entire life in solitary confinement. He never ruled in any meaningful sense. The inclusion of Zirconia crystals is a modern collector device with no historical resonance to the subject.
