Reverse description The reverse depicts the ornate Dolphin Fountain of Bridgetown, rendered in fine relief, featuring intertwined dolphins at its base supporting a tiered basin from which water jets emanate in graceful arcs, surmounted by a classical urn-style finial. Four scallop shells are positioned symmetrically in the field around the fountain, referencing Barbados's maritime heritage. The legend FIVE DOLLARS curves along the upper portion of the field in bold raised letters. The engraver's initials PN appear incuse at lower centre near the base of the fountain. A beaded border frames the entire reverse design.
