Additional information

Hedgehog in the Fog is a 1975 Soviet animated film directed by Yuri Norstein, widely regarded by animators and critics — including Hayao Miyazaki — as one of the greatest animated films ever made. The Cook Islands issued this piece as part of a broader wave of novelty collector silver that flooded the market in the early 2010s, much of it produced by the Bode Miller Mint and distributed through European dealers targeting the Eastern European nostalgia market, where Norstein's film retains genuine cultural weight.
