| Beschrijving voorzijde | Right-facing diademed and draped effigy of Queen Elizabeth II occupies the central field, rendered in high relief after the Ian Rank-Broadley portrait. The Czech Mint privy mark (CM monogram with crown) appears to the left of the bust. The peripheral legend is divided by a dotted inner border: 'NIUE ISLAND' and '5 DOLLARS' arc across the upper field, while 'ELIZABETH II' descends on the right and the date '2018' appears at the base. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse reproduces the design of the first Czechoslovak postage stamp of 1918, depicting a panoramic view of Hradčany Castle in Prague with St. Nicholas Church and surrounding architectural skyline rendered in fine detail. The composition is framed by an ornate Art Nouveau border of sinuous foliate scrollwork and ivy leaves encircling the central vignette. Below the architectural scene, the Czech-language inscription 'PRVNÍ ČESKOSLOVENSKÁ ZNÁMKA' ('First Czechoslovak Stamp') is incused in three lines across the lower field. |

Niue has issued commemorative gold pieces under licensing agreements that allow it to feature foreign national symbols — a quirk of its status as a self-governing territory in free association with New Zealand, whose currency it formally uses. This piece honors the first stamp issued by Czechoslovakia in 1918, the "Hradčany" design by Alfons Mucha, produced within weeks of the new republic's declaration of independence on October 28th of that year. Mucha completed the design in a single night under pressure from the provisional government.
