| Obverse description | Crowned and draped effigy of Queen Elizabeth II facing right, after the portrait by Ian Rank-Broadley, whose initials IRB appear below the truncation. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs above the portrait, while FIVE DOLLARS curves along the lower inner field. The fineness mark Ag 999 appears to the right of the bust. The issuer inscription NIUE ISLAND and the date 2020 are rendered in bold raised lettering along the upper outer border, with the entire border zone elaborately decorated with an intricate East Asian-style scrolling floral and cloud motif in high relief, giving the coin a distinctive ornamental frame. |
