A second, smaller vessel is partially visible in the right field behind the wake of the main ship. The ship name ASTROLABE arcs along the upper periphery, while the denomination 5 DOLLARS is inscribed along the lower periphery. The design commemorates the 500th anniversary of the Discovery of America.
