| 正面描述 | Right-facing draped bust effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, wearing a tiara and pearl earring, as modelled by engraver Ian Rank-Broadley, whose initials IRB appear below the truncation. The circumferential legend reads ELIZABETH II SOLOMON ISLANDS 5 DOLLARS along the upper and right fields. Below the bust, the date 2018 is prominently displayed in the lower field, flanked by the metallic specification 2 oz and fineness mark Ag 999. The antique finish gives the entire obverse a darkened, antiqued appearance consistent with the collector presentation. |

The Cicones were a Thracian people whose single significant appearance in ancient sources comes from the Odyssey: Odysseus sacked their city of Ismarus on his way home from Troy, lost six men from each ship in the counterattack, and the episode set the tone for the disasters that followed. They are otherwise historically obscure, leaving almost no archaeological or numismatic trace in antiquity. The Solomon Islands issued this piece as part of a broader series tying Pacific sovereign authority to Greek mythological geography — a pairing with no geographic or cultural logic beyond the collector market.
