Additional information

The Chelsea Flower Show has been held on the grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea virtually without interruption since 1913, the main exception being both World Wars, when the site was requisitioned. This Cayman Islands issue is one of several Commonwealth gold pieces struck to mark the centenary buildup of that event, produced in 14-karat gold at a weight calculated to match the pricing expectations of the collector bullion market rather than any traditional standard.
