The mythological creature, with a muscular bearded human torso and equine lower body, rears on its hind legs facing right while pulling a strung bow taut, conveying powerful motion and tension. The design exploits a stark contrast between the frosted relief figure and the mirror-polished field, creating a dramatic chiaroscuro effect.
