| 正面描述 | Right-facing diademed and draped effigy of Queen Elizabeth II after the portrait by Ian Rank-Broadley, whose initials IRB appear below the truncation. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs across the upper field to the left, with TOKELAU 2015 continuing to the right. Below the portrait, at centre, appears the Tokelau coat of arms depicted as a traditional container with a cross motif, accompanied by a scroll inscribed TOKELAU MO TE ATUA. Along the lower arc, flanked by tilde ornaments, reads the denomination and specification: Five Dollars - 1 oz 999 Silver. |

| 背面描述 | The mythological sea-goat Capricornus, the zodiac constellation symbol, is depicted in high relief at centre, rendered as a chimeric creature with the foreparts of a horned billy goat — featuring prominent swept-back horns, shaggy mane, and extended foreleg — and the scaled tail of a fish emerging from stylised ocean waves. The entire figure of the creature is selectively gilded in gold, contrasting dramatically against the blackened mirror-proof field above the waterline and the ungilded silver waves in the lower portion of the reverse. No legends or inscriptions appear on the reverse. |

Tokelau has no mint of its own and no meaningful numismatic tradition — these issues are produced under license by the New Zealand Mint primarily for the collector market. The "Capricorn" piece is part of a zodiac series, gilded to distinguish it from the standard .999 silver strike sharing the same KM reference base.
Tokelau's formal status as a non-self-governing territory under New Zealand administration gives it the legal standing to issue currency, though no circulating coinage exists in daily use on the three atolls.
