| Opis rewersu | The mythological figure of Capricorn depicted in high relief at centre, rendered as a sea-goat with the forequarters of a horned goat and the scaled hindquarters and tail of a fish, its gilded horns rising prominently above the mirrored proof field. The central motif is set against a deeply polished black field within a plain raised border. Surrounding this inner circle is a broad gilded annular border decorated with an elaborate repeating foliate and scroll ornament incorporating stylised oak leaves and interlaced ribbon motifs in selective gold gilding.
