Obverse description Right-facing draped bust of Queen Elizabeth II, wearing a tiara, occupying the central field. The legend ELIZABETH II is inscribed along the left rim, while CANADA and the date 1976 appear along the right rim. A small maple leaf device is positioned at the base of the bust, serving as a divider between the two inscription segments. The portrait is rendered in high relief with fine detail in the hair and drapery, in the style engraved by Arnold Machin.
