Obverse description A large intaglio vignette of a Blue Marlin leaping amid stylised waves occupies the centre of the note, set against a multicolour guilloche underprint with Easter lily blossoms rendered in pale gold and pink tones. The effigy of Queen Elizabeth II appears in intaglio at lower left, with the issue date 1 JANUARY 2009 and two facsimile signatures positioned below the floral motif. The denomination numeral $5 is placed at upper right, flanked by a dolphin vignette and a row of leaping dolphins printed in gold along the upper register.
