| Obverse description | Right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, diademed and draped, as designed by Ian Rank-Broadley, whose initials IRB appear below the truncation. The portrait is set within a circular legend band reading ELIZABETH II · SOLOMON ISLANDS · 5 DOLLARS · 2OZ AG 999.9, against a geometric mosaic background featuring interlocking hexagonal cells and a Star of David motif. The ornate scalloped border of the coin is composed of elaborately milled foliate and berry sprays arranged in twelve petal-like lobes. Part of a loosely New Age-themed bullion series issued under Solomon Islands' licensing arrangements — the islands themselves have no institutional connection to chakra traditions. Like dozens of similar issues from this jurisdiction, it exists because the Solomon Islands government has long sold minting rights to private distributors, primarily European, who design the series and handle retail distribution independently. The face value is nominal; no one has ever tendered one of these at a shop in Honiara.
