Beschrijving voorzijde Sixth effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, designed by Jody Clark, facing right and wearing the George IV State Diadem and the Victorian Coronation Necklace. The legend ELIZABETH II AUSTRALIA 5 DOLLARS encircles the portrait, with the designer's initials JC appearing below the bust truncation. The portrait is rendered in high relief against a polished proof field, consistent with the refined numismatic standard of Perth Mint issues.

Aanvullende informatie

The Hand of Faith nugget, found near Kingower, Victoria in September 1980 by Kevin Hillier using a metal detector, remains the largest gold nugget recovered by that method — weighing 27.2 kilograms. It was sold to the Golden Nugget Casino in Las Vegas, where it has been on public display ever since. This coin references that specific piece, not gold in the abstract.

The 6th portrait of Elizabeth II, by Jody Clark, was adopted by the Royal Mint in 2015 and subsequently by Perth for its bullion and proof issues.
