Obverse description The obverse features the sixth and final official effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, designed by Jody Clark, depicting a right-facing crowned bust of the Queen wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara, drop earrings, and a pearl necklace. The portrait is rendered in high relief against a deep blue enamel field, lending a striking chromatic contrast to the frosted silver effigy. The legend ELIZABETH II · AUSTRALIA arcs along the upper periphery, with the date 2021 positioned at the lower right, all in incuse capital lettering. The engraver's initials JC appear discreetly below the truncation of the bust at lower left.

Additional information

Rotary International was founded in Chicago in 1905 by Paul Harris, and the first Australian club opened in Melbourne in 1921 — making the centenary a straightforward hundredth anniversary of domestic organisation rather than of the global movement itself. The Royal Australian Mint has issued commemoratives for Rotary milestones before, and this one-ounce silver piece follows that pattern.
