背面描述 A dynamic full-body depiction of a galloping horse facing left and slightly toward the viewer, rendered in high relief against a plain field with a beaded border. The date 2002 appears in the left field, and the Chinese character 馬 (Horse) is positioned to the right within a decorative frame, referencing the Chinese lunar calendar. The denomination and fineness inscription 1/20 OZ 9999 GOLD is engraved along the lower exergue.

附加信息

The Year of the Horse issue was part of Perth Mint's Lunar Series I, which ran from 1996 through 2007 covering a full twelve-year zodiac cycle. The Horse is the seventh in that sequence. Perth pioneered the format of annual lunar bullion coins for Western markets in the mid-1990s, and by 2002 the series had built enough of a collector following that multiple weight denominations — from one-twentieth ounce up to ten kilograms — were struck simultaneously for each animal year.

The one-twentieth ounce denomination, which this piece represents, carried a mintage cap of 25,000.
