New Zealand's Platinum Jubilee commemoratives arrived in 2022 marking Elizabeth II's 70th year on the throne — the first British monarch to reach that milestone. She died in September of that year, making this issue inadvertently the last major New Zealand royal commemorative struck in her lifetime.
