| 背面描述 | A stylised cockatoo, rendered in a bold and simplified graphic design by the artist Kato, is shown perched upon a horizontal branch occupying the centre-right of the field. The bird faces left and displays a prominent upswept crest, with wing and tail feathers subtly delineated against the mirror-polished background. The denomination 5 DOLLARS appears in large, prominent characters to the left of the central motif. The purity and weight inscription 1/25oz 999.99Au is inscribed in a curved legend along the lower right portion of the field. |

Part of the RAM's long-running Discover Australia series, which used the Kato privy mark to denote coins distributed through the Japanese market. The series leaned heavily on native fauna as subject matter during this period, driven by strong bullion proof demand from Japanese collectors in the late 2000s — a market that collapsed sharply after the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami disrupted discretionary spending across the country.
