Part of Perth Mint's long-running Discover Australia bullion program, this issue belongs to a series that leaned heavily on wildlife subjects to attract the international collector-investor market during gold's sustained bull run through the early 2010s. The fourth portrait of Elizabeth II — by Ian Rank-Broadley — was in use from 1998 until its replacement by Jody Clark's effigy in 2015.
