| 背面描述 | A highly detailed depiction of a kookaburra (Dacelo novaeguineae) perched on a branch in left profile, its large distinctive beak prominent and its plumage rendered in fine engraved detail. Below and to the right of the bird, an intricately worked spider web radiates from a central point, its concentric geometric pattern providing a delicate counterpoint to the bold avian subject. The mintmark 'P' appears in the lower field. The overall composition is set within a polished proof field, consistent with the Perth Mint's premium bullion coin aesthetic. |

The Kookaburra bullion series launched in silver in 1990, but gold fractional issues like this one came later as the Perth Mint expanded its annual wildlife program to capture the premium fractional market. Each year's Kookaburra carries a new reverse design — a deliberate departure from the fixed-design approach used by most sovereign bullion programs — which has made annual issues collectible beyond their metal content alone.
