Beschrijving keerzijde The reverse depicts a finely detailed rendering of the Duyfken, a Dutch VOC fluyt-type vessel, shown under full sail with billowing canvas and intricate rigging rendered in high relief against a mirror-proof field. To the left of the ship a stylised tulip motif alludes to the vessel's Dutch origins, while to the right a nautical compass rose surmounted by a fleur-de-lis decorative finial recalls early cartographic instruments. The commemorative dates '1606' and '2006' flank the compass rose on the right field, marking the 400th anniversary of the voyage. The legend 'VOYAGE OF DISCOVERY' arcs along the left rim and 'DUYFKEN' appears across the upper field.
