Beschrijving voorzijde Fourth portrait effigy of Queen Elizabeth II facing right, wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara, as modelled by Ian Rank-Broadley. The legend ELIZABETH II is incused along the left edge of the triangular flan, and AUSTRALIA runs along the right edge. The date 2013 appears along the lower edge, with the engraver's initials IRB incuse beneath the truncation of the bust. The mirror-like proof field contrasts sharply with the finely detailed relief of the portrait.

Aanvullende informatie

Parliament House in Canberra opened on 9 May 1988 — exactly 61 years after the original Provisional Parliament House was opened by the Duke of York on the same date in 1927. The building cost approximately $1.1 billion AUD and was delivered two years behind its original schedule, largely due to the scale of the granite and marble work sourced from across Australia. By the 25th anniversary in 2013, the Royal Australian Mint had developed a consistent pattern of commemorating significant civic milestones in fine silver, and this issue fits squarely within that program.
