Solomon Islands has issued commemorative silver under its own authority since independence in 1978, but the country has no meaningful footballing connection to the 2014 World Cup — this piece exists purely because small Pacific sovereigns have long licensed their minting authority to European bullion producers targeting collector markets. The actual striking was almost certainly contracted to a private mint, most likely in Austria or Poland.
